Quick Intake Question

I have a 89 turbo with a lexus afm and a HKS Super mega flow intake. I'd like to replace the foam filter with a K&N.

Anyone know what diameter the opening on the filter needs to be and how long of a filter can fit in the engine bay?

I only ask because I don't have the car with me at the moment and I'm heading to the store to buy a mass of parts.

HKS and K&N filters are both terrible. Get something better, like the Apex-i, or AEM dryflow.

You want to stay away from oiled filters, especially if you still have the stock AFM.

+1 I've heard the same. They are more of a name then they are effective. There's a write up some where on that. I forgot where i saw it. I went with the apexi i ran it for two years works great.
