Wow your powerband is pretty high up there. Spool makes it look kinda laggy but once you're in boost how's the response?

Are you holding tq with boost duty or do you have cams?

It pulls very nice. I have no cams. Dyno does seem laggy but it really is not.My turbo goes positive @ 2300rpm. at 3k I am at 5psi full boost hits at 3800 however, powerband hits fully at around 4400.
Then goes flatline til redline.

Wow maybe I will try this for my next turbo. I'm wondering if my turbine is slowing things down up top? I figured the huge wastegate would keep that from happening. On my current setup I do get 1.0bar of boost at 3100 rpm. It feels like a blower :) But I want that top end son!
I have jzx90/jzz30 powerfc coming so maybe adding in some timing up top will help me out.

/thread jack.

i also want to know if the jz series engines come with metal headgasket, cause i've been looking around and i've found out that some places say they come with metal gaskets and some sites say they dont, also some ppl have been telling me that as well.

im pretty sure the jz series engines came with metal headgasket's, correct me if i'm wrong

The head gasket is definatley metal. I have a brand new one if someone is looking to buy one.

I wouldn't say every gasket on the jz is metal, but the head gasket is.

if you are going through the trouble of pulling the stock twins, just go single. For the price of a rebuild with steel wheels in the 1jz twins, you can go single. IIRC they were around 1300.

stockers can usually deal with 15lbs daily. I have been driving with 15lbs daily for 2 years and i havent had any problems.

how much psi can the stock fuel pump handle?

1 important question also: my car was a 91 n/a swapped to 1jz, im still on stock fuel pump, is there a difference between n.a. fuel pump and turbo fuel pump?

Im looking to get a boost controller but im afriad of leaning out as i dont have a wideband yet.

Yes there is a huge difference. Intake exhaust and ecu made mine lean out on top end. Afpr and fuel dampner delete did little, then when I went walbro went into 10.5:1. I wouldn't suggest anything till you get a wideband and walbro.

Wideband is probably the best tool on my car.. with stock y and 3" DP mine creeps to about 16psi and at that point I began worrying about inj. duty even though my WB tells me its not doing anything crazy.

in any case with FMIC/ piping, boost cut defender, 3" DP and AFC I made 340whp @ 16psi.. decent numbers are possible. (I really need to install the 440's though, dipping into the low 12's AFR is not too good)

i didn't want to start up a new thread cause i think this will be short,

i think it's Carbon Monoxide in my intake cause im planning on replacing these hoses with reinforced silcone the but on the intake it's not as black meaning not as much in the intake, but in the intercooler piping it's real black and it's alot, i just want to know if this is normal or is my turbo's f**ed

I'm not sure what you question is, but you don't need to replace those pieces unless they have failed (cut, leaking, too brittle for comfort, etc.). As for the rest of your statement/question.....I've got nothing. What is it you want to know? Are your turbo's fine? Tell us something about what your turbo's are doing.....

well my car is in storage and i took apart the intake side where the air filter is and it had black s**t, i think it's Carbon Monoxide in intake but im not sure, and then the rubber intercooler part that's on the intake side has more Carbon Monoxide really black.

i just want to know if it's normal

2nd does anyone know what the sizes are for the rubber pipes that are circled, i want to replace them with reinforced silicone cause the stock ones are ribbed on the inside just like how the outside looks

you realize that carbon monoxide is a gas? saying monoxide after carbon doesnt make you sound smart.
and to answer your question, take 1 of the rubber connectors out, walk into a auto parts store and find a replacement. not that hard
