I am patiently awaiting my AEM Eugo Wideband from Ideals 3rd group buy, and starting to plan my install. They say there is no such thing as a stupid question, so here goes.

Do you run the Eugo along with the stock oxygen sensor? Or, does it send a signal to the ECU, and you remove the stock one?

I have seen that it is best to mount the sensor at least 30 inches back from the turbo(instead of in the Turbo Elbow) for best results. So, is the test pipe a good place to put it? If so, will I be extending wires?

Also, while searching and not seeing the answers to these questions, I saw several threads mention a control box for the Innovative LM-1. Does the Eugo have a control box, or do the wires run straight to the gage?

i can't answer all your questions 100% but i can tell you my ZT2 wideband suggested approx. 18"+ from the turbine and mounted between the 10-2 oclock range to prevent condensation on the sensor and excessive heat from the turbine. Many people mount the WB in the stock 02 location....this is a no no.

Most widebands offer a simulated narrowband signal, personally i have never run this with my zt2. I have a narrowband gauge so i like to compare the results of it with the wideband, this acts as a fail safe because if one of them is way off from the other then i know one of them is bad and something is wrong. Contrary to what a lot of people belive the narrowband is quite accurate (in a general sense) and syncronous with the WB.

I've installed a few AEM's now... and from what i remember, on a TURBO car you want the sensor 36inches from the exit of the turbo, this is for sensor life, you can put it closer, it just kills the sensor that much faster.

the AEM has a few different pieces... theres two sets of cables that plug into the back of the UEGO. one set is for the ground, power, logging out, and another one. the other set is from the o2 sensor/controller

but off the o2 sensor it plugs into a pretty LONG harness that you route to the gauge, and on this harness is the "controller" so you dont have to worry about placing some box or something.

and when you weld in the o2 bung you want it at a 10 degree+ angle.
just when you get the sensor, just read through the manual and all of your questions will be answered, hope i helped.

here you go

I don't listen to the electronics maker...

I listen to the manufacture of the sensor

Bosch LSU 4.2

Important to note two items.

1. Exhaust Gas Temperature Range (Operating) 930 °C (Max) < 1030 °C
2. Hexagon (therading) temp < 570 °C

This 2nd one is usually the issue. If anyone on here is seeing past the Operating Temp, Post turbo. Yeah your O2 sensor will be the least of your worries.

yes you can wire the UEGO into your stock 02 signal, there is a small dial on the back of the gauge, you turn it to position 4 for "nernst cell" or narrow band setting now the white wire will emit a nernst cell signal that you can connect your stock signal wire to. You dont want to mount the sensor right on the elbow, I put mine close to the bend in the downpipe.

Put it up close to the back of the turbo (same distance as the stock O2) if you want to run leaded gas and not kill the sensor every single time. It is too cool farther back and the lead coats the sensor in about 1/2 an hour of run time.

Can you even buy leaded gas anymore? Maybe that's in race fuel?

My plan is to put it further back than stock. But, after reading the link to the Bosch sensor, it may not be as far back as planned.

Thanks for all of the info guys!

here is where I put mine..... and it worked fine. Maybe its life would be shortened though.
