Hi all, here is my scenario, I have a 7M-GE I plan to turbocharge and I'm wondering about the pistons. I do not have any intentions on turning up the boost on this engine past stock psi, I know saying that is much easier than actually not doing it :naughty:, I really don't like going wildly fast, I prefer a nice controllable ride but I just want a little more power to play with for a while.

I don't quite have the cash flow to purchased the high end pistons, but I was wondering if it would be worth buying some stock replacement 7M-GTE pistons or just keep the current 7M-GE pistons and putting some fresh rings in. I know there is quite a risk running the stock GE pistons.

If new pistons are put in, is there a risk of the new wrist pins not cooperating with the existing internals?

Also, should the cylinder walls be honed for the new pistons and rings?

Thanks.
