I posted this first in the suspension and vehical dynamics, but I think that more will read it here, sorry for the double post

Hello,
first of all, I'm new here, my name is Marcus and I live in Sweden.

Since this is an dedicated supra forum I was hoping to get my questions answered here. I have been search and looking thru alot of project threads, but I want to know more :)

I'm interested in the suspension and think it's a good solution with it's double a-arms and so on. But I don't own a supra, so I would like to hear what you think about it?

Does it have any weakspots? Where does it usually break? In what way do you usually reinforce it?

Has anyone done any calculations on it? Does anyone have all the messurements for it?

Thanks in advance,
best regards
/Marcus

Give it some time. It is the weekend and some people don't check the forums as much. I'm sure someone will chime in and answer some of your questions.

Personally, I have not heard of anything really braking in our suspensions. Our bushings have a tendency to go, but that's because they're 20+ years old. Some people have reinforced the rear subframe if they're going for a big power, or just want to tighten things up a bit.

Besides that, they're are several upgrades including aftermarket sway bars, traction bars, etc. you could purchase to improve handling and ride quality. If you search a little, you may be able to find the answers to your questions.

Ok, sorry, will give it some more time.

I have now gotten my hands on Lotus Shark which is an suspension analysis program.
I opened it up for the first time yesterday but I have a friend who is good with it so I can ask him if I'm having problems.

I want to set up the supra suspension in it to see how it can be improved for track use and thats why I need the messurements.

Now I will do some searching.
