Questions About Meth/Alchohol Injection.

ok i know i've searched but i still cant get the answer im looking for. I want to know how safe it is to use meth. injection. I've heard people saying that this is very corrosive and will damage your internals. Also that its not too wise to use windshield washer because of some chemicals in it and that the die will eventually clog up the nozzles. I have also heard about using Denaturized* Alcohol and mixing it with distilled water, it has a bit higher octane rating then methanol, but is it safer? Im sure i have other questions but im just waking up and i just began further reading into it. If you can help please do.

Meth injection is perfectly safe in a system that is functioning properly.. unfortunately it is very expensive to make a 100% failsafe system with two maps (standalone) and a meth pressure activated swtich.. so it is dangerous.

I woudln't think that windshield washer fluid would be more likely to clog, afterall they do contain more detergents.

Distilled water and denatured Alcohol would work great, denatured alcohol is the same thing as Methanol anyways. I've used denatured alcohol on top of my regular windhsiled washer fluid as an extra boost.

I can't comment on the corrosiveness on the internals, I only ran it for about a year and didn't inspect afterwards.

Where would it be best to put the nozzle, must be somewhere in the intake correct?

500+, im so close to 400 right now i can taste it. just need to tune and dyno. but in the end, 500+ would be nice.

You're going to want to run at least a 14GPH nozzle @ ~450 WHP assuming you want ~20% of your fuel to be meth (best ratio IMHO).

From there you can adjust your meth pump pressure accordingly.

good stuff, thx for the info, so should i be taping the IC pipe right before the TB or should i tap the runners.

it depends,

If you tap the runners you have to use a solenoid, a lil more expensive.. but potentially better control. Otherwise you'll pull Meth through the check valve at idle.

If you tap it before the TB then you can just run a check valve, which is great because it keeps it a lil more simple (thats what I did).
