I wanted to get some opinion in here on using copper spray on a stock head gasket. From my experience, all stock head gaskets i have removed without spray have been "stuck" to the surfaces of the block/head to an extent. The head gasket itself seems to have some sort of sealer built into it? Am i wrong there? I removed a head recently with a head gasket with copper spray and it came off like nothing. All the copper stuck to the head/black and almost NONE of it stuck to the head gasket. In little areas that there was still some coating on the head gasket, i could barely touch it and it would peel off/slip off like it wasn't even adhered. Im wondering if using copper spray is really a good idea considering it doesn't actually adhere to the head gasket. Any thoughts?
