Question on flywheel

ok, I'm doing a 2jzge swap from a 7mge. I have a w58 transmission right now. just swapped out the bellhousing for the 2jz.

the flywheel I saw was off of driftmotion.com for $270.00. but I was doing research and while searching autozone.com undera 98 non-turbo mk4, that the flywheel was only $130.00.

Will that flywheel work? because doesn't a stock mk4 come with a w58 tranny? it has the same number of teeth as the 7mge flywheel (115)


And yes I'v looked around the forums.. so far haven't found anything on this topic. wanted to be sure it was direct fit before I bought it.

ok. may have figured it out. the dude from driftmotion said that theirs is a factory jz flywheel. so the oem autozone one should bolt up.

kind of nice too. its $130 with a core charge. so turns out to be $60 bucks.

saves me over $200!

but yeah, any NA JZ flywheel will work.

SC300 is the same.

just to warn people. flywheel is the perfect one, but good luck finding one. all the vendors in az are out of stock.
