My wife's car has been a pain in the ass since we got it, and I hate to keep bitching about her car but it's a wonder I haven't set it on fire. My car used to be an auto before I installed a five speed in it and I don't ever remember losing boost between shifts. I just had her transmission rebuilt with Raybestos blue clutches and had the valve body rebuilt by IPT. $1640.00 later, it loses boost between every shift. Is this normal? It has a Tial blow off valve on it and no vacuum leaks or boost leaks that I can detect. I haven't checked the transmission codes yet, but I'm going to go outside and check them in a second. I wanted to post this first. I did search for similar problems on here but didn't find any. Thanks, Jay

no its not normal, check for boost leaks...thoroughly

I just finished fixing her intercooler pipes today, and I checked all of the tbolt clamps thoroughly. I'll try and hook up my boost leak tester tomorrow. I checked for vacuum leaks because I thought it might be losing vacuum causing the bov to open, but I couldn't find any of them either. I'll check everything tomorrow........AGAIN!!!

Thanks for your help guys.

She's using the Tial bov, and the break in went well. It's still being broke in a little, but I thought I would boost it a little yesterday and it didn't want to hold. I'm going to go do a boost leak test in a few, but I have other car problems to deal with first. Owning two supras is an invitation to suicidal tendancies.

Mine would get there quicker, and it would be a better looking coffin. Everyone knows blue owns white...........ooops, your car is white............:biglaugh:
