Ever wished Toyota would have done a t-top instead of a targa? Ya know... just to help with the flexing and make the car alittle stiffer.

I was just day dreaming the other day about this, I never hear of 300zx owners complain about handling.

the flexin is not that big of a deal everyone makes it a bigger issue then it truly is you dont hear people complaining about mk4 targa the over exaggerated flexin problem its just put out there and started by people who want to justify having a hard top (you know min is bigger then yours insecurity's)

and as far as tee tops go no no :3d_frown: if your have so much power and torque that its a problem have a brace made if you got money for power you got money for a brace (just like if you got money for a Ferrari that gets 8.9miles to the gallon you probably not worried about the cost of gas either )

Yup, agreed. I love my targa. The times when I do have it off is when I'm just cruising around or having a little fun. If I really want to get into "serious" driving, I just put it back on, zero flex.

have had t-tops and call me red but i always liked 'em (esp.glass ones)although i'll agree they are a little red... my supra is my first targa car and when i took it off the first time i got serious vibrations - maybe alignment? no vibrations with top on....

i would get that check thats anything but normal see if your car was in a major accident or it could be some of those things you mentioned

I would love a T-top Supra myself. I would personally take a T-top over Targa. They are easier to remove, easier to store, and the body would be more structurally stable. Not as nice as being able to remove the roof entirely but I think the other issues more than offset that.

And for those who call them redneck. Yes, they were more common on "American" cars but don't forget the 300Z, 280ZX, MR2, and even the MKII Supra came in T-tops. Not exactly redneck cars.

the only thing i hate is the creaking when i am doing a corner that inclines more on one side than the other...
