I searched butnothing showed up under MBC or manual boost controller,

can I run the vac. line for the mbc off of my bov line and just cap the turbo nipple? I would like to mount the mbc where I have easy access to it, but I dont want the lines to be verry long, is there any benafit to having it ran off of a manifold vac. line, or is the turbo nipple the same thing?

thanks for the help

I wouldn't advise hooking up an MBC that way. The pressure nipple on the MBC(line in) needs to be connected to a pre-TB source and the best spot for this is right on the turbo, that why it's there. Hooking things up the way you've suggested(post-TB) would have no benefit and would only potetially cause problems. The IC system creates a pressure drop so the manifold gets less pressure than the turbo actually creates. Hooking a W/G actuator to a manifold source would likely cause you to hit F/C before the W/G saw any pressure to perform its job(regulate shaft speed) correctly.

As the above recommends, it is better to get a boost reading before the throttle plate, I tried both, and between shifts and such I was getting some spiking and hitting fuel cut when i ran a manifold vac line. It was more consistent coming right out of the tap in the turbo.

thanks for the help guys, I just re-installed it like normal,
with both lines no longer than 8inches, and I mounted it on the far side of the PS resevoir.

here is a pic.
