hey guys..i just got some tein ss about a month or 2 ago and im not too happy with them(they are way too soft, and rub the inside of my fenders). is there anything i can do to stiffen them up? i still have half an inch left in the front and the rears are slammed. could i just throw another bump stop on there to reduc the shock compression?
please help!
thanks

There should be knobs to adjust the damping. If not you can try slightly stiffer springs or a whole new coilover set.

Or. just raise your car. There is no other way to get around the rubbing in the fender. You gotta pay for being too low.

Unless you want to drive on solid rods just suck it up and let it hit the fenders or raise your car. After I thought about it.. even if you get stiffer springs that probably will not get rid of your problem.

You need to increase the spring pre-load. That would be the 2 adjusting rings (closest to the spring). Sounds like you have your pre-load set to basically zero. Tighten the top ring (raise it up, forcing the spring to compress and thereby increasing the stiffness and reducing the suspension travel) and once you have the pre-load set where you like it, bring the middle ring up against the top ring and tighten the rings together so they are locked together (turn the rings in opposite directions, ideally holding the top ring in place while raising the middle ring). This will set your pre-load. Doing so should also increase the ride height of your Supra. After this is done, you can adjust the bottom ring upwards so it becomes basically free floating and then rotate the shock shaft by turning the upper and middle rings together. This will pull up your shock's bottom half, causing your ride to be lower. Once you have your ride height set where you want it, adjust the bottom ring down to where it meets the lower half of the shock and tighten it against the tube.

You may have to do this several times to get it where you want, I know I have.

Tein SS do not have individual hight and preload. It is all in one.

I thought they were like my TEIN Flex Control Master's. If you only have 2 rings then you would probably have to do exactly like I said, other than for adjusting the height you won't have to use the lower ring to lock the height in place. I'm not 100% certain on this though. Try looking at YouTube for vids on adjusting your coilovers.
