Question About Removing Cigarette Lighter Assembly

Hi,

For those that have done it, what steps did you take?

In particular, how would you have done if you were to do it all over again?

I am ready to remove mine, but see no obvious place to start.

you just trying to remove it? all you have to do is pull out the center bezel piece. then unplug the harness going to the lighter and the hazard lights. once you have the bezel in your hands, remove the large nut (ring) around the back side of the lighter. once you do that the pieces will pull out. does this help or am i missing the question?
