Question about parts

I'm planning on getting a 89+ Supra with a 7MGTE in it very soon. My future goal is actually 11-low 12s on the quarter mile. Can you guys tell me how much horsepower would be required to reach a goal like that? And what kind of parts would I need? Because I've researched into it and basically found that it needs a complete engine rebuild but I'd like feedback from you guys and your opinions about the best parts out there and how to go about this.

i run 12.2s and im makin 431hp... upgraded turbo, intercooler, aem ems, stock internals in the motor

Does anyone else have any tips or parts that they would recommend getting to run 11-low 12s? And I know if I somehow get it to 12 I'm going to want to get to 11s later on so post some advice/tips on that too if you can. Thanks guys

I cant give you much but since no one else is repling. I didnt get to the track before it got too cold,but today i raced a 4.6L mustang with a straight exaust and all of the little bolt-ons from a dig and STOMPED HIS ASS, i only have a turbo back 2.5in exaust and K&N FIPK, plus im throwing a code 52=REALLY REALLY RICH but i dont think its that much of a difference. if you dont have a Turbo Supra yet GET ONE, "all of your wildest dreams will come true":naughty: and a 12 sec supra isnt that far off if you have a little money from what i have seen.

lol yeah i'm actualli looking for a 5 speed 7mgte supra right now so I can get it running in the 12s or 11s. Once I reach that goal im jus gunna keep trying to make it faster but right now I just want to know the most cost efficient but also reliable method to run low 12s or high 11s. well i compared to the Crapstang b/c he said the best he ran at the track was 14.8, and like i said mine is throwing the knock sensor code and i have only had it for about two months(still finding F-ups from the previous owner), and my clutch and tranns. are both going but not too bad. But when we raced it wasnt even close i pulled from the start about 3 lengths and by the time we had hit 60-70mph it really wasnt even a race(8 lengths), we went two more times with the same results.:icon_bigg
