I recently bought a set of used cusco coilovers from a local Japanese Import warehouse. I installed them and they are pretty decent. This is a set of older cusco coilovers have no idea how old. You can adjust ride height of course but not stiffness. I was wondering if anybody knew why the shock is not bolted all the way to make this easier i have pictures to show what i'm talking about. Here they are:

As you can see the stud is not all the way thru to the top. The two rear ones seem to be in the same spot but the front two are different by a little bit. If anybody knows anything about these coilovers or this kind of setup please let me know if this is normal. I don't hear any odd noises when i drive but i don't want to drive it until i find out exactly whats going on. Any help is appreciated thanx in advance.

its threaded all the way down.. if you attempt to remove it you will notice there is more to it than a nut. just the way its designed
