Personally I use a product called seafoam and inrtroduce it through the vaccuum system as well as the feul tank with great results. When I had to pull my intake to replace the gaskets, it was almost as clean as the day it was first assembled. if this speaks for how well it cleans, then my injectors should be just as clean. I use this stuff in the method described once a month. hope this helps. It runs about $7.00 a can, but it's worth it to me. I also use it in my 94 saturn and my 91 toronado. The saturn is at 200,000 on stock injectors, and the toronado at 315,000 also on stock injectors.

I was going to say, Shell uses PEA in their gas, and I've got like 15 Shell stations here in Gainesville - that's what I use in all of my cars.

while we're on the topic of smoothing out idles by using some fuel additive...

People really should get into the habit of spraying some intake medic on their throttle plates and going at it with a tooth brush. 5 minutes and a couple squirts of Intake Medic (or something similar) smoothed my idle perrrrfectly ;) If you've never done it before, you'll be impressed at how much carbon buildup their is on that thing.

Chevron user here also, so far no injector issues in the over 50k miles I've owned it. Now on Arco I too used to use that exclusively in my 360 dodge van I had. When I took it apart to rebuild it the second time the light brown carbon deposits were so thick my compression ratio must been 12:1 LOL. So I asked all my mech's buddies that I know and they all told me from what they've see, Arco's additive are the worst when it comes to carbon deposits and I'd have to agree from and experience standpoint only. From then on I use Chevron no matter what grade you use it has the same amount of Techron.

seafoam is nice...I just don't think I'd run it through my system... and it would NEVER touch my oil

Shell, Chevron, Texxaco, or Sunoco is the only thing you should be putting in your tank. Might I add Porsche reccomends Chevron gasoline.

seafoam will eat carbon very well... I just won't put it through a running engine personally...

Seafoam rules. I put a can through my 78 datsun, i couldnt see out of the back glass after that tank was done, my bumper was chrome ... WAS. I am a believer although im not hardcore to put the crap down my lines while holding the throttle blade open... probably because nobody wanted to help me.

here in CA pump gas is topped at 91 octane, which in reality is more like 89 or 90 in other states.

I use chevron gas ONLY, and i only buy premium.

I used techron and it worked like a fisking miracle
