What are the stock cam specs (Lift and duration). Also If I go with a really mild cam just a little more duration to keep the power until redline do you guys think I'll need new shims? I'm shooting for 500rwhp with an hx-35 right now and money is tight, I'm going to get real cams over the winter but wanted to get the stock ones reground for now to give me some more up top power. When you do different cams is it the duration or the lift that throws of the clearances?

BC 264 cams or Crower 264s (272 small cores) pull awesome up to revlimiter (7500)

you will need to reshim most likely.. On my crower install only need to change a few though..

Thats what I'm hoping for. I didn't even realize that I might only have to replace some shims. Does anyone know the stock duration. I'm trying to figure out if they will be able to take them to 264 degrees without welding.

You can get to 500 without cams. To get to 600 is a different story but 500 is doable.

I know but the turbo I have is going to max out just around 500 at like 25psi so I think without cams I'm going to have a hard time making it.
