I just found out the motor i just recieved, I notieced it had a Group A ct26.Well my quesition is if this turbo is alittle bigger then stock, is there anything else done to the motor from factory? That wouldn't come on a stock 7mgte?
Here ya go... 7m-CT26-vs-Group-A-CT26-a-visual-comparison. The full article has specification and all the info you may find useful. It would be great if you got one of those motors! Van
Every CT26 I've seen off of a Supra had the A on it. The Turbo-A turbo has a stamp on the raised circular part next to the A. Type-A versions are a bit different.
Who cares it's 20 year old tech and unless you have a genuine Turbo A or a Group A race car in mint condition there's no sense in paying a premium for old junk.... :nono:
There is a big difference between a turboA ct26 and a group A ct26. Getting your hands on ome of the very few authemtic group A ct26s would be a rare find youd make quite a lot of power with one too the hot side of the turbo is totally different
Why after 20+ years has nobody offered an upgraded turbine wheels to match the compressor??? The 57 trims already sell like mad. The turbine is the only thing that seems to be holding us supra/mr2/celica guys from making more power. Theres also the ct20B....hmm.
Ok so I feel foolish I have only seen CT26 turbos with out the A on them, why Idk maybe never paid attention. Sadly to say though I am assuming then I dont have one atleast won't know till I pull it off and measure it. Any who thanks for setting me stright on this.:nono:
