update on the actual car build:

working with someone to get me some 680cc injectors, innovative wideband and hks hg right now.

yesterday ordered mapecu2, sent deposit to sethron71 for a long runner ffim, got my king bearings in on thursday, (still waiting on thrust washers) machine shop has block/head about 75% complete.

getting a cage installed by a friend, dropping out the oem gas tank and putting in a fuel cell, bought kwnate's aeromotive a1000 fuel pump last week, have another person checking on fuel lines and other various parts for me now.

will probably be pulling out and tossing the oem seats and replacing them with a set of lightweight race buckets. if anyone is near ky and wants a set of seats, all the power stuff works on the driver's seat... you can just have them.

overall i think i'm fairly on with expectations of the build, i was shooting for about $4500 for the entire drivetrain, but wasn't planning on doing an ffim or fuel cell, external pump etc.... i figure it'll be roughly $6500 now in the build cost, so it's not too much over expected. the cage and some of the other machine work won't cost anything and that saved a good amount of money

pics will follow once i get the engine back

wow! great polishing jobs! how hard is it to maintain a shine like that?

it's not too hard, as long as you give them a really good coating of protectant. cleaning times vary by how dirty they get from the rain, dust etc... my motorcycle can go anywhere from a week to a month, depending on if i ride it in the rain or not, before it needs to be cleaned

well, as of today the supra build has come to a screetching halt. i'm getting another bike to rebuild next week and all my funds will be going into paying it off over the next few weeks. plan on polishing the entire bike, so it'll be all nice and sparkly.

back on the supra....

got the rods shipped being cryo-treated, bearings shipped being coated with dry film lubricant, ffim out being ceramic coated. just got really lucky and got a new 10 gal. jegs fuel cell with sender for $130 shipped on ebay... real lucky on that one. have to work tomorrow, may start pulling out the seats and stuff on friday, depending on weather.

once the fuel cell gets here it's going over to my friend's shop so we can get that cell and the 8 point cage welded in. may go ahead and get the race buckets too and do it all at once

--i'm just happy to have the project moving again
