You're worried that taking out the crower camshafts and putting in the stock camshafts is not possible, because of how the journals have worn?

I wouldn't slap them right in, I'd wait for someone to comment on if/how to measure/clean them up.

They "Should" just drop right in. But you will have to adjust valve lash. Springs will be fine too.

should be as simple as remove, replace, plasti gauge, shim and drive away. well maybe not simple but shouldn't be to hard. just remember to plasti gauge the camshaft caps and compare specs to the TSRM,

Why won't it run right.....Do you have a aftermarket ECU, Did you degree them in What are the cams not doing. My Crower cams work fine....I got the first batch and never had a problem. Tuning is the key and I have 272 cams tuned to idle at 890-950 max standing idle no lope. Some of you have no idea how to tune a motor.

Las Vegas NV.
He did not degree them, Needs to use a degree wheel and dial indicator and they will run excellent.

Booskyline: what do you use the plasti gauge for when installing cams and shimming?

Well, i had a break though on it today I installed an AEM AFR gauge and its running rich. It is all the way rich after it warms up but a little rich when it's warming up. why is it running rich i didn't do anything else to it could the cam shafts cause this. And thanks for all the comments

he was talking about a plastigauge. u put it around the cam shaft jurnals and put the cap on tighten then take it off and check how much it squished it and then u will know if the clearance is right or not little more to it then that but that's pretty much it

I thought you were talking about using it for valve lash and shimming, You could mic the journals too

Plastigage takes about a minute. Much easier to do than to mic th journals. Make sure when you do this you don't have the liming belt on also. It could give false readings.

Were talking about stock cams going in. Stock cams should fit. Bc cams should fit. If you have wear damage then its time for a new head.

Since he did not tune the cams he is removing them. Valve lash is in order.

Plastigauge is easy to use but a time consuming pain.

Exactly there is more than just slapping them in to use them Now that you want to go back to stock there is more than just that.

The machine shop should have not line bored the cam journals, so they stock cams should fit. Im not the person installing them and looking at it so im not going to say for certainty and im not taking any blame for mis haps.
