Pushloc hose- who's using it??

Hey guys-

I had been using a -6an stainless line for my AFPR to fuel rail, but I was concerned about the danger of shorting against the alternator, so about 4 months ago I replaced the line with Jeg's -6 pushloc. I've had no problems whatsoever, but i was just on Jeg's site, looking at more pushloc hose, and It says not to use it for fuel- Ah!!

I'm sure that I saw the subject buried in a previous thread somewhere, but I couldn't find it.
Has anyone been using this hose for fuel- and if so, for how long? Also- has anyone heard otherwise concerning the safety of a fuel application? I thought it was what i had read about earlier. Please let me know of your experiences, guys. I want to know if I should replace the line with braided(and insulated).
Thanks.

so...should I be worried about the degradation of the internal material?
How long have you been on pushloc for fuel, IJ? Have you ever been in a position to inspect the inner lining after use?

Well, that's what I'm saying- it's advertised as not fuel-rated.
It is pressure rated to 250psi, but of course that's not the concern.
It Jeg's brand, though i'm sure another manufacturer made it.
I assume since you say yours is fuel rated- it must be from Aeroquip, or another brand.

I wouldn't use it if it's not fuel rated, have a look for Parker hose pretty sure it's a US company.

Stuff I use if Multipurpose Hydraulic hose I get from an industrial hose supplier, the other one I've been using a lot of is an AlphaGoma product as it's easier than the Aeroquip stuff to get on the barbs ;)

Ian's right- Aeroquip hose is hard as hell to get onto the barbs! Can you guess how I know?

Steve: Heat gun till it just changes colour then spray some window cleaner on the barb makes it easier ;)

Did that and it worked well, it was just waaaay harder than I was expecting. That should hold true for most people.

And this is why I switched to the AG Hose :D

It still has the abrasion resistant sheath like the AQ hose but is nicer to work with, esp if you have to fit a hose on the car!

AQ is ok once you get over -10.
