whenever driving on the freeway and i am turning, my car pulls in every direction, i have to constantly move the steering wheel left to right in order to stay in my lane. something similar happened to my moms truck and they said it was the tie rods, could this be it?

also whenever i am turning slow and sharp my car makes a loud sound like some sort of metal bar is clashing against another bar and i can kind of feel it underneath me

Haha, that is how you know it is bad. If your alignment is out of adjustment, your tires will show signs of it. Next you ought to get out a tread depth gauge and check that!

Ummm...suggest you stop driving the car till you figure it out. A suspension/steering problem like this is dangerous!

That loud "clunk" when you turn at slow speeds could be your ball joints. I have just noticed my car is starting to do this on the right side.

My car has a little of that all over the road syndrome occasionally, but I have some nasty tires, and my control arm bushing are showing their age. I'm working on sourcing the cash to do all new bushings and steering components. It will be a little expensive to replace everything at once, but it will be worth it.

and before you kill someone.

jack it up and check your ball joints/tie rod ends.

I'll almost guarentee it.

EDIT:http://cygnusx1.net/supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?Section=FA&P=21

Steering and Brakes are no joking matter, or "It's just a short drive"

If your problem is as bad as you say you you'll notice they're bad no prob.

almost doesn't count.:sarcasm:

also check to see that your tires are on properly and tight .

i once forgot to tighten my wheels after doing my breaks. later that night a couple of friends and I went out and we were on a 45 MPH road. the car shook like crazy then all of a sudden it stopped. i while moving 40 MPH on a straight road i saw my front passenger wheel bouncing off the curb:biglaugh::biglaugh::biglaugh:.

good thing i had 200 pound guys in the back seats. hahhahah

stop driving it bro. check everything. there are still a couple of supras at Pick Your Part and at Ecology. half price on the 15, 16 and 17th.

imo, if everyone were to use the search button for every problem they have, than there will be no need for a technical section, search button search button search button, it gets old after awhile, im pretty sure someone is gonna reply " well answering the same question over and over gets old"... than close the technical sections and redirect them to the search engine... while your at it, check how the number of new members will drastically decrease, check how many members will no longer visit the site, and check how the number of threads will drastically decrease. it gets old

Keep one thing in mind...someone that does not use the search feature demonstrates lack of effort or laziness. If someone like this is not willing to look for the answer before creating a thread, why should someone that knows the answer make the effort to reply.

Food for thought.

i use the search engine before i post, im pretty sure alot of people search for their answers, not only on sm or sc, but even google, sometimes they need a little backbone on the situation before they start pulling their car apart thinking they have an answer to the problem, they might search and search for the answer to their problem and find an answer to a similar problem and repair the wrong thing, where does that leave them? too broke to repair the actual problem and they probably still dont know what the problem is... i know some people are lazy and post lame threads over and over but whats the point in having a technical section?? might as well have a technical wiki or something instead, since people are constantly getting ragged on for being "lazy" when they post a thread

I wouldn't mind seeing the number of threads decrease because frankly, a fair percentage of them are moronic...

im sure alot of them are, but whats the point in getting help from a forum when everybody just wants to be an asshole because they hold more knowledge then someone else

sorry for fueling the thread jack but i agree with you on searching first then asking questions later. but when i search i search damn near every page that shows up. some people go for 3 pages and then quit and make a thread. that makes people like me have to go through 50 pages of threads to find the right answer...T_T. and yes i do hate being told that im a retard when i already know because im asking the question. and i hate fixing the wrong problem:3d_frown: but sometimes they arent trying to be pricks were all human. shoot me if im wrong... *ducks down for fear of shot* LOL.

i forgot to tell you that the way i replied wasnt to tick you off or anything, it was just, how do you say, "the straw that broke the camels back"

EDIT: and i dont post a question until i have an idea of what might be the problem and i search sc, sm and google before i post the question... like i wrote in the beginning of this thread
