pulling 7mgte out trouble

i have the engine hoist pulling it up but it won't come out sompletely away from the transmission there isn't anything holding it but it seems stuck if anyone might know something i'm missing help me out please ! if you think you could calll me and help ask me for my number i realy need help its my first engine over haul

Look where your slave cyl. is. There are 2 bolts on the fork that engages the pressure plate. You have to take them out inorder to release it. Not much more work to just pull the whole tranny.

thanks man i had to replace a slave cyl on my friends 92 4 runner i didn't think it had to be taken off though thanks

I would hook the tranny back up to the engine and pull it out as a whole. Lining up the engine with the trans in the car will be a huge pain.

I def can't imagine doing it any other way. That's how I did it on my car. And when I put it back in. I had the engine trans and harness all as one unit.
Went in so easy.
