Pulley Info

I found a few post on replacing the crank pulley but need a little more info.
My engine is being built and I was wondering if the lightweight Crank pulley would be ok to use? I know the stock one has the damper in it. If my engine is being balanced with a lightweight pulley what would it hurt?

Yeah.. I'm not sure with those chunks of metal missing off the pulley if it will be out of balance or not? I would think so.. I hate to spend another $350 for a new one with the balancer.

Find a used one but dont buy one without the rubber damper in it .

Get the ATI Crank Damper. I heard alot of great things about it, and its much lighter than stock.

If you don't run a/c, the ATI crank pulley also allows you to take off the a/c ring. they're not cheap tho.
