So last fall due to a suspected leak in the intercooler my turbo blew last fall, which blew 10lbs of boost down the oil drain resulting in oil coming out the pcv ports and cascading oil onto the exhaust manifold causing a fire. It was fuckin cold so i said fuck it and parked it for the winter. (I have no garage :nono
Given the nice weather i replaced the melted wires, and bypassed the turbo (cheap intake flex pipe from autozone from maf to throttle body, just so i could move it and let it run) topped off the oil to make up for the shit sitting in the intercooler. and fired it up. ran like absolute shit, wouldnt go past 500 rpms and sounded like it was running on 2 cylinders. shut her down, and now theres oil in the coolant and coolant in the oil. Considering i never had gotten it to run right, i think im gonna go ahead and call this motor trash.
Plan is to pull the motor out of the parts car, which i know runs good, rebuild it. throw it in with a new clutch and a new ct-2657 from driftmotion. and make a new wiring harness considering the old one was falling apart even before the fire. Got a massive greddy intercooler thats been on display in my bedroom, that will go in (cuz im tired of girls asking why theres a big radiator in my bedroom) as well as a synapse bov ready to go. gonna have to make custom intercooler piping, and it will be sick if it ever gets done.
So i have that to look forward to all that and maybe actually getting to utilize the $1000 i spent on HKS ehaust. but i gotta say im kinda bummed i wont be cruising in the supra this summer... or at least not anytime soon.
