60 is 100% bc, 20 is 100% bc, 4 USB port 80 GB is 88% bc, 2 USB 80 gb is 0%, 40 0%, 160 0%.

Yep and Sony seems pretty adamant about not including BC on the PS3 in the foreseeable future. I would be shocked to see this hold true, unless they plan to support the PS2 until the end of the PS3's life cycle. This just seems like a poor business decision when they already have the replacement hardware and just need to implement it through firmware. Something seems really fishy about Sony's decision to not support BC and the weak excuses they come up with as to why. I guess I'll just stick to my two 60GB PS3's until Sony gets there head out of there proverbial ass's

Yeah no BC makes me upset. That's fine though I already have a BC model. I'm thinking about buying a second slim for my other TV since it's such a great media server. I hope they make mkv support soon though.

^If you have psp or ps3 video 9 you can convert mkv files to mp4 or whatever. Or if you have windows vista use videora ipod converter.

Converting video files is a waste of time and an unnecessary pita unless you need the file to be portable.

PS3 media server can reencode almost any file on the fly no problem right up to 1080p so long as your computer and network can handle it.

i dont really play my ps3 a whole lot but i love it the slim looks ugly as all get out i wouldnt buy that one.

Anyway, Slim looks sexy thinking about picking up a second for another room.

Looks damn good, and was totally worth it. reminds me of my 1st slim ps2.
ALSO this system is sooo god damn quiet.
I left it on by accident while watching tv for 2 hours.
