I had the same problem as you Joe. What had happened was somehow, over time the process priority of folding at home had gone up. Therefore it's cpu cycles were taking priority over others causing a noticeable slowdown. A reinstall didn't cure this for me, but I never really looked into it. I just quite using it, so there maybe a solution.

I can't exactly tell, but I think the PS3 does 50,000 frames in 8 hours.
