PS reservoir and bracket

I finally got my NA power steering reservoir. I wanted to clean off the bracket before mounting it on, but I just can't seem to seperate the damn thing from the reservoir can. I know there is a small clip on one side, but I took care of that. Do I just now pull like a mother until it comes off? Or is there a trick to it?

Look very close and you will see a tiny clip that you push in with a pocket screwdriver.

Yeah, I had already mentioned I had taken care of that clip. Just had to pull it out with enough force and in the right way. Thanks though!

Whe nI cleaned mine i left the bracket attached to the resivoir as there really is no need to seperate. I submerged the whole unit into some "dunk it" parts cleaner and let it sit for 20 mins or so and scrubbed it away and it looks factory new now.

I wanted to thouroughly clean mine and give it a small coat of paint, to make it look nicer. It's out there in the hot, Mother's Day sun drying up. Can't take mom to dinner until she comes back in about 4 hours, so might as well amuse myself doing something productive :naughty:
