Well today I finally got my new ECU, plugged it in and never heard such a wonderful sound in my life when my car started right up.

I have been having alot of problems with the electrical and ended up shorting my ECU in the end, after alot of tech talk and probably bugging some of the admins.

But I thank you for all of your help whoever contributed, mostly Jetjock pointing me in the right direction and of course the search feature.

As for now I'm just double checking all of the drivetrain bolts to make sure everything is locked in place before I put it on the road tomorrow afternoon.

Although it was just a lowly 7M-GE, it was a great learning experience and I could have probably never done it in the amount of time I did without using these forums or paying a fortune.

Come on Tae, JJ has a reputation to uphold. You can't be posting that he actually helped you........:3d_frown:

Congrats on getting your car running. My wife pointed out that only a true supra owner would post that he just did his first motor swap.......like you know there will be another one later on...........:biglaugh:

Congratulations!!

It is the 1st step of many and has probably provided the confidence necessary to tackle other, less intimidating work.

Doesn't matter that it's a GE, it's running. It's more than alot of others woould even attempt. Good job!
