Ok how does this work??
Stock 2JZGE fuel miledge = around 20mpg average. 18mpg if 5spd.
Stock 1JZGTE = around 20-22mpg
Single 1JZGTE = Upwards of 28 mpg.

first your suppose to get better mileage on cars if they are stick shift. Also how can a Single turbo 1JZ get better mileage then a Stock one? Turbo doesn't waste but saves u more gas??

5spd is worse on the SC. The OD gear isn't as agressive and you rev a couple hundred rpms higher while on the highway.

Stock twins = better then N/A, but they spool too easy for the crap hp they provide, sucking gas for no reason.

Single turbo = at normal driving levels you can stay away from boost and sip gas, especially on the highway. I havn't seen over 30mpg but i've gotten close.

In stock form 2jzGE's are slow as shit. They are very kuxurious (compared to a Supra mk3), and are heavy but with a 1jz they are very potent.

PROS: Looks good, luxury, most leather, people think you have really expensive car its a LEXUS!
CONS: Slow, heavy, ugly stock auto shifter, lots are higher mileage

The dildo shifter!!!

yes, the auto shifter is horrible unless you get a 1997+ SC300.

The cars are tanks, 200k miles on a SC300 is just broken in.

You will NOT find an SC300 with seats in good condition. All front seats on SC300's go to shit. How do you fix it? Buy a set of MKIV leather seats and bolt them in. I found my black ones for $200 in perfect condition. I've seen Tan MKIV seats go for FREE!

PS. Never EVER EVER buy a tan interior SC300. Just stay away. They are disgusting.

Black on black is the hot shit! So rare! Silver/Black is also hot. My buddy in Cocoa sold his Silver/Black 5spd for dirt cheap, I see it around orlando now.

Personally, sandstone/black is my FAVORITE color combo. Only a new respray of sandstone looks good, it fades to a really dull nasty sand color.

The grey isn't weird, just the dash piece fades for some reason and ends up a greenish color. Easy fix? Two tone the interior black and grey. I don't have any pics that I know if, but a local SC did that, and it looks very good.

10k is the average price for a stock 1jz swapped SC300 with auto transmission in fully working condition. More for a modded car, less for an eye sore.

You can make any SC any of the black/tan/grey interior.. the pieces are not too hard to find, my buddy just converted his tan garnet car (same color as mine) to black for under $1000 bucks for everything.

ah, i see. i was figuring that the torque curve or layout and programming of the setup probably wasn't designed to handle high HP and therefor would either break itself, hinder performance, or just be dead weight and not know what to do when 600hp tries to happen. it sounded cool for the stock engine though. did it help much on stock or moderately modified engines?

Most ppl that I've heard of using VVTI engines disable it with high HP because it gets confused. It's just a wire like vtec on a honda (you can also use a vtec controller to change it) Also zero vvti camshafts are on the market.
