im planning on getting my ct rebuilt to a 57 trimm by albert i was wondering can i use my 2.5 exhaust i kno it will restrict it some but will it cause a prblem to the turbo. also i have a bosch 110 bpv that i plan to use and a spearco replica and 2.5 hard pipes. and i will probly use 3inch drifmotion dp. and using a walboro 255 fuel pump just want to make sure this wont hurt the turbo any help will be great guys. albert looks like he does a great job i dont want to ruin a rebuilt turbo by him by running and useing the wrong things. thanks

since im planning on shooting for 300whp. what type of pistions npr's or probes is there a real advantage to running forged internals with that type of power goals i kno i could run forged incase i want to increase power levels at a later time and run all arp hardware and i have read where the stock rods could hold up to 500 whp. what do most people run bottom end wise with a 300 hp motor?

im in the process of taking the motor apart now and soon will be taking it to the machine shop i kno i will have to wait to oder things such as pistions and bearing and head gasket unil after machineing has take place aand measurements have been done. ive put together a kart or parts from driftmotion that i believe majority of stuff is there but if yall see anything i need to add please let me kno want to have an idea of cost and other parts i will need.
also with the rings that come with the probes pistions are they good heard they were npr rings. also are civitte bearings the best seen where most people use toyota select fit bearings. and should i use arp fastners for everything in the bottom end?

The NPR rings are from a Ford if you go with oversized. They do not have a cast top ring so make sure the machine shop does the proper cylinder wall finish.

wow, this thread is full of good information, it should be stickied or something.

now, what if you want to make a 600rwhp+ 7mgte, what kind of piston/rod/bearing/whatelse would you need to get. Also, would the instruction mentionned by hyvman still apply or would there be new stuff?

Not to go off topic, but if you're going for that much power you really would not want to invest that kind of money in a 7M. Financially it makes no sense.

if im shooting for around 300hp what electronis will i need to get it tuned . im just trying to figure out at what point do i need to take it to a dyno and get it tuned correctly and what electronic tools i will need. with a 57 trimm and probe pistions 255 fuel pump and 2.5 intercooler piping and spearco replica is what i will be running. what the process i should follow will it have to be tuned for that power range? sorry guys just new to turbos
