Ok guys, i guess its time for me to start this thread.
I bought a 89 Supra and i m already having problems with it:cry:

I've been adding coolant a lot lately but it's keeps disappearing and not sure where it's going, but my car doesn't smoke at all so i m not sure whats happening here. So far i m believing its a BHG but not sure until i open her up. A lot of oil or something on the waterpump. Not sure what that is either.

So far this is what i've done.
I took the turbo heat cover out and the O2 sensor out so far and the O2 sensor is not white.

- turbo has oil coming out from the cold side or was coming from the IC pipe.. not sure which it is. Ill take pics tomorrow and post up for you guys to decide.
- IC pipes are out, only the engine ones.. not the bottom ones of the car.

Ill post a lot of pics tomorrow for you guys to see! hopefully it doesn't rain :icon_evil

Future plans for this car,

-1.2 HKS MHG
- Arp Studs
-3 inch full turbo back
-TT rims
- IC pipes
- Water pump

Anyways, this project should be good. I m praying that i don't have a serious problem with my engine.

update!!

so i was able to take the elbow 4 nuts of.. last one was a bitch!! It took my neighbor about an hour to get it out. Coolant was drained out. It looked like coolant. All of it was there. None was missing. Whatever i put in, it came out. Drained the oil, Wasn't milky or anything at all. I was surprise. Not really sure when the oil was ever changed, it was dark ass hell!!

A lot of people have said that i dont have a BHG and now i do believe them, But why is my car over heating when i push it ?? It has happen twice.
Can it be the waterpump ???


Well here are the pics of the car and the engine updates.

yes, the seats have covers on them. The previous owner had them on cuz of the seats are worn out.

Now the bads of the car, I have two rust spots i have to fix.

One been on top of the rear right side above the wheel and one under the spare tire. Here it is!!

Yes my tank is busted it and yes that black stuff or wet stuff on it is GASOLINE!!!

Here is the Turbo!!! oil coming from it or was it the IC pipes!!!

Here i m been organized with the bolts and so far i have broken off three bolts off :cry:

I think i found my boost leak............

and this is where the engine stands as of now.

Turbo is not out yet but god damn it !!! soo many fuckin bolts on that thing!!! Anyone local wanna come help me take it out.. please do!!!

Also how the hell do i take the water pump out ??? I have that thing blocking it and everytime i try to get one of the bolts of, the thing turns. The fan holder thing.

Hah I still needed them more. I had one blow out 3 days ago... and I just found a screw in my spare yesterday!

anyone know how to get the oil line connect to the turbo ?? do i get it from the bottom of the car ??

i have the same problem with the coolant and where was the boost leak?

for the updates, i put everything back together and i put fresh new oil and yea, it started to smoke. It was burning oil from somewhere by the turbo. I will check tomorrow where it's coming from. It was too dark to see where the smoke was coming from.

Smoke out the exhaust or smoke by the turbo? Hopefully you made sure that the mating surface between the turbo and the oil feed/return flange were flat and you put a new gasket on. Also be sure those 2 nuts are tight on the studs. If not the oil leaking out will smoke from the heat of the turbo and if it's leaking bad enough that there are drips then the drips will actually blow back onto the down pipe.

i started up the car again today and no smoke at all. Not sure what that was the other day. I will take out the head cover out tomorrow and check the turbo for any oil leaks or anything. I didn't really take the turbo out when i was trying to change the HG myself. That bitch is too hard to take out so i left it alone.
