The outlet in the first picture is only there on early model Supras - not sure what year it vanished, but I haven't seen it on any cars '89 or newer.

Furthermore, it's not connected to anything, just closed with a cap. Unless you're referring to a right hand drive car, of course.

If I remember correctly the coolant pipe you have marked in red has a rubber cap on it for USDM. The JDM version of the MKIII has the heater core on the other side and it plugs in there.

For you, your heater return plugs into the pipe on the other side that shows a cap on it, and the rubber cap goes on the pipe you have marked in red.

edit: Damn, Grimjack beat me.

oooh. Well that explains it....

The 90 I bought came with 2 engines, a JDM and USDM. I put one engine together with parts of both. I must have gotten that pipe from the JDM engine...Cause the other side is brazzed shut. It doesnt have the rubber cap most coolant pipes do.

Well this sucks...Now I have to figure out weather to swap out that pipe or cut the brazzed cap on the other side...It wont be an easy task though.

Thanks a bunch guys.
