Problem with interior lights

When i turn on my headlights my climate control lights turn off. It still blows air. But the lights turn off. The gauge lights r still on. Its just the lights on the climate control. I tried it with a pre 89 and an 89+ so its not the unit. Any idea on where to start checking for problems.

my climate control lights are hit or miss when i turn my other lights on. check your dimmer, the climate control automatically dims when the main lights are turned on, your dimmer might just be down a little low.
