I am in the middle of installing my rear shade, and having trouble getting one of the brackets installed. It seems that somewhere in a previous life, the side molding on the drivers side was glued down with some sort of awesome glue. I can't get anything underneath it at any part of the molding. I have tried to get under it with a jewlers screwdriver and a small but ridgid feeler gauge (didn't look at size) and can't get in at all.

My next thought is to take my torch to it. But, I'm scared to try adding to much heat while I try to pry my way in. Should I be worried about breaking glass if I add too much heat?

Donate it. To me, in case I break mine ;)

I had a similar problem, what I used was a utility knife, carefully wedged between the glass and the molding. They were just stubborn from being there for 20 years, not glued.

I would use a heat gun, not a blowtorch, though... lol
