ok, so i fixed some of the other problems with the car and it now runs pretty good. it still has a idling problem due to a non recirculated turbo xs rfl. i cant go faster then 40mph now. i cant drive it farther then about 1800 rpms in each gear with out it cutting out and jerking bad. its kind of a pain to have to drive around in 4th gear in town.

when i push in the clutch, it will rev up to whatever i want, but when its in gear it wont go past 1800-2000 rpms. when it does this, i sometimes get a check engine light. i can hear the turbo the whole time this is happening.

fuel cut?
boost leak?
fuel filter?
something else?

any ideas folks. i tried searching and couldnt find anything very similar so i posted. maybe some of u guys have had the same problem or know about what my car is doing.

thanks

the boost guage hits 0. it gets up to zero and nothing happens. and as far as codes, the light turns on everytime it cuts out and then it goes off. it doesnt just stay on.

im not worried about the idling problem. the car cutting out is the bigger issue, i can always recirculate or play with the bov later.

thats what ive been told. ive got a set of universal 2.5" piping with clamps that i ordered too. im just waiting to get a chance to throw it up on jackstands and start tearing intercooler pipes off. should i remove the accordian hose as well to get to the lower ic pipe?

and boost leak sounds like the culprit of my problems?

check all your ic pipe connections... and check the hoses themselves for holes...especially the one off the bottom of the turbo
i agree with idealsupra....the same shit happened to me two days after i got my n/a-turbo conversion back from the shop and i almost started crying, the next day when i had some daylight i went outside and checked my intercooler piping(the one that comes off the bottom of the turbo) and it had come off, so if i were you i would go retighten that and your car should come back to life again!

not being able to rev or wat ev. sounds like afm to me.

I would put it back to stock, and then go from there,

I have a non rec. bov. and It drives and idles like stock,
no stalling/backfiring problems or anything.
