I hope we get to know what the problem was, or if putting the stock intake back on fixed the problem. I'm curious.

Let us know man!!
The Surging problem is gone..... Im still runnin the intake and it hasn't had any further problems... its wierd, maybe the computer just needed to adjust to the higher air flow, I dunno.... I still need a BOV but the car runs alright... will I be damaging anything runnin around with a bad BOV for a little while???

Just as ^^he^^ said. If you drive it with a bad BOV...Your turbo will take a punch in the gut but as long as you stay out of boost (high boost, for that matter), you should be okay for now. Now, whatever you do, DO NOT get rid of it...a bad BOV is always better than no BOV.

Oh no...You can boost all you want (before BHG;)) even with a bad BOV.
When I first got my car, my stocker BOV was p00p...and boosted 10psi still.

Really? When the BOV is stuck closed you will be able to boost, but you will get compressor surge...if the BOV is weak, and won't hold any pressure (The case here) you probably won't be able to boost very high because the BOV serves as a huge boost leak...and you definitely won't get surge...right?
