was wondering what is up with all the thread locking lately?

It seems there are determinations being made by mods on weather or not a discussion is over/complete/resolved? I found this out by trying to update one of my own threads and it was locked.

This seems rather counter productive to me. If a topic is searched and found by someone, or created by someone, and they want to continue the discussion with new info or another view they now have to start another thread??

I think all would agree locking dysfunctional threads is fine but informational ones with discussion?? I don't get it.... anyone else?

The other day we had a major malfunction and I locked down all my sections... The clock screwed things up so bad it knocked threads all over, so if you find one in my section thats still locked, PM me...
