Precautions for welding ABS equiped car?

Why? Welders use a grounded bench all the time. I have a welding table. It's great, as you just throw your work on the table and start welding since the table is the ground. No need to fool with a ground for small stuff.

Now, a car on the other hand, you would definetly have to ground.

i was referring to the thread poster with that comment...thinking that he could weld to the car by grounding his workbench - That kind of thinking leads to people getting hurt.
