i love pre89 front...but everything else on my car is now 89plus mirrors moldings tails spoiler interior dash everything but bumper...

I like em all, but owning an '88, it was what I was really looking for, as when I was 18, in 1990, I test drove a 2 year old used 1988 supra turbo... wow said one day I gotta own one of these... 19 years later I bought one... same year, same setup...

I do like the front of the pre 89... but as you can see, I am running 89+ mirrors which I like better... I actually like the one piece spoiler better... stock stance though, I agree the pre89 sit high in the front...

But at the end of the day... Respect the Supra, no matter the year

Personally I prefer an entirely pre 89 car, but with 89+ tail lights, with new rims and a better stance. The pre 89 bumper reminds me of my Mk2

89+ is the best, hands down, minus the turn signals, I love those full length signals..

The problem with the pre 89 bumper is it's way too short, and has weird angles. From head-on (apply directly to the forehead), it looks mean, but once you go at the slightest angle, it looks like an old man without his dentures; the bottom caves in, and sections of the bumper pop out, and the foglights point at the sky like a Bat-signal.

I've had both and always loved both, both in stock form... but you know what they say about opinions.

Always liked the wider front turn signals on the 87/88's though.

Yep, you can slam the hell out of a pre-89 and still have a huge gap up front (look at the first picture in this thread).

IMHO, both stock versions of the MkIII Supra look better than the stock MkIV. To me, the MkIV is a large jelly bean; it's too round!
I do want my MkIII as light as the stock MkIV hartop, and I hope to get the weight down to 3200Lbs.

+ 1 on the jelly bean look.
