I got bored and tired of the old ugly looking fogs and did this with mine.

1.) I fitted the JZA70 yellow filter housing in the pre 89 FOG light housing verry easy to do once you take them apart it fits like it was ment to be.

My yellow filter housing came with my JZA70 clip because unlike the current JDM stripped clips you pay more for now mine was complete. Also I can still find clips for 2100! but stripped like all the rest so they could make money off the parts and save on shipping.

2.) I took the crappy fog glass out of the housing and installed smoked grey glass from a glass shop cutting the glass and the 2 pieces cost me $20 cheap then any pias or pilot general purpouse fog lights $20 includes the two pieces & glass cutting. Also on this note you can order stained glass if your willing to wait where there is more color options and paterns for your glass!

For now i took the block off plate out put i may rivet it back in ? waiting to see if they are to bright and what the beam pattern looks like.

Heres the pics of what they look like and how they came out so far a good mod and worth the $20 if you ask me!

I am verry pleased with the finished product.

I also checked the light pattern verry clear good and aimed at the road and edge areas well.

Also as you can tell from this picture I upgraded the Halogen H3 bulbs to HID 3000K(yellow) HID kit I will try and take a night picture later.

These came out so gorgeous and perfect I decided to put the 90mm Hella Projectors in my headlight housing for part 2 of my lighting mod
These were originaly bought for my (Altezza powered) 1969 opel gt but since i am giving this car to my son I decided to install them in my supra for now and buy a set for him down the road. hes barely 2yrs old now.

I had these housing for over 6yrs now and decided to put them to a more imediate use now. I already have the pair of H9 10,000K powered HID kit for these also I decided to use to low beam projectors because the are shorter then the hi beam housings & also look better for 1 thing and for another if you need high beams you can modify the block off plate in these projectors to allow the beam pattern to hit higher but i decided to use a pair of low beam lights and housings.

So far with the headlight housings i have figured out it is better to mount everything to the headlight and not modify the plastic inner housing to do this you must mount bracktes onto the outer skin for 3 things
1) the motor push rod
2) the rear hinges
3) the headlight mount brackets.

Also you must modify the arm of the motor to about 1/2 the length by cutting the arm then rewelding it together then also you must shorten the push rod so the headlight closes correct with the hortened arm more stuff on the way on this.

1 other note I am opening up the front hole are on my supra before i install the pre 89 lip I am opening it up so it looks factory and cant tell looking at the metal core or bumper basicaly the hole will be opened up to allow more cooling for the FMIC the thickness of the bumper above the opeing will be the same thickness as the grill between the turn lights

With modified bumper will look eventualy like this.
With large FMIC of course.

Thats too bright for me. I have yellow capsules in my 89+ fog housings with 55w h3 bulbs they are fine for me. I am not using my fog lights to see so i didnt need them to be very bright.

The front is not just a cover, it's a Fresnel lense that properly aims the light. The blinder is there to stop you from blinding people!

Direct viewing of an HID bulb is TOO BRIGHT, you need to put the blinders back in at least!

If not, be prepared to have high beams flashed at you, and red & blue lights in your rearview mirror...

So wait.... If he puts the reflector back on, will it still be as bright, will it be dim, or will it still remain bright and just bounce the light to the floor and away from the eyes of oncoming traffic???

They're "blinders" to stop direct viewing of the bulb, the back reflector and the front lense (which was removed in this case) is what directs the light properly.
