This is very cool. And very similar to what I am doing. I am also using 2 projector lights. And then setting up an H.I'D. Kit. But I am using my yellow bulbs and painted lens for my fogs. Look forward to seing it finished.

I did this to a spare set when I got my 87 last year. You don't have to take the lenses off to take out the refletors. Pull out the bulb housing by tapping out the dimples on it. Take pliers to break off reflectors and then and then bend and flex the reflector to pull it out from the bulb housing opening.
MKII guys have been doing this forever.

The only difference on the JDM lights is the yellow capsules.

Removal of the blinders is just going to piss people off, and negate their usage as fog lights!

Trust me, I removed the blinders on the 89 (headlights wheren't working all the time, so sometimes it was my only way to get home), installed HID's in them, and the glare was crazy. I made new blinders as the HID bulbs are longer.

Nice mod but tons of glare. There is no light control.
Since these fogs arent free form reflectors, the front glass is what controls the light and keeps glare down. Without the lens which generates the pattern, light will go everywhere.
