Since its gotten cold out my power steering has been acting up in the morning. It sounds like its studdering...... like it has no/low fluid(its filled correctly). And this is happening when its warming up and not moving. Is my power steering pump kicking the bucket? 130,000 miles

The pump could very likely be causing the problem. Hydraulic pumps tend to cavitate and make noise when low on oil. However they will also sometimes aerate and make noise even with full oil level. One question though, how cold is is where you are? Hydraulic systems work like ass when they are not at the proper temps.

Just the nights are getting colder. Low 50's. After work when I start it (mid to low 70's) I hear nothing. I just wanted to make sure I wasnt going to have a problem on my hands. I'm glad I asked. I will also check the belt just incase. Thanks

When I replaced my lines I tried using some of that Lucas steering fluid. It was so thick that it wouldn't bleed air, and made the dry whine until I flushed all of it out. If it says stop leak, avoid it! Check your fluid level first before you throw money at the problem. Then the belt.
