I have the driftmotion line right now. If my banjo bolts had not been tightened by a T-1000 I would be done. I have to get a bigger wrench tomorrow as the other bolt is spinning. I cant get the bolt loose to save my life so Im taking the fan and shroud loose tomorrow to deal with it.

The question was asked because some people have said I would be missing an idle up valve. I also think the driftmotion is better but its looking like it will be a very fun fit as there is not much slack at all..

Well from what I pulled out... I wish I had some tips on pulling the lines as I could not get it out from between the engine and rack.
Looking at the line it seemed to be in one piece with no holes I could find. I wont know until some other parts come in if the new line fixed it. (Or if the slow drip goes away under the car)

Im thinking the mechanic that inspected the car and led me to believe that it was the high pressure line wanted to make some cash. Once its pressurized and bled Ill know for sure but so help me it looked almost like new once I had it out and clean... But it was mangled from the removal process.

I've had my OE replacement hose now for over 3 years and there have been no issues. You will have to separate the rack from the frame to be able to get the old line out.

Old thread, I know, but I wanted to thank Silver MK3 for his great write-up. I had to replace this hose this weekend and it was a great help.

Since my car is a ChumpCar endurance racer, the A/C has been removed, so that made it easier. I was able to remove and replace the hose without loosening the steering rack by judicious wiggling. I used a Gates OEM hose.

You're welcome! Glad I was able to help out.

I second that. I just replaced my high pressure line due to a leak and Silver MK3's writeup was invaluable.
