It's funny how you never notice that.

Never notice what? The bottle of Dexron/Mercon?

I know many people spell it and pronounce it with the T. But the manufacturer does not.

Steering system tidbit for long term owners. If you want to make all your steering parts last longer, like anything else, filter and cool it. The hoses and rack last longer cause their cooled and filtered. Tranny shops sell the safe cool little inline filter, and you can use any small cooler since it's low pressure on the return side. I myself have used spin ons but that's another spot you need to find to mount it and run lines to it. Anyone who does this mod needs to make sure the filter they select is a free flow if it becomes pluged up.

I went from stock power steering fluid in my lexus to ATF fluid. Steering feels a little heavier but much more solid.

Dude

I thouorghly expected to get flamed and completely forgot to check this last night.

Thanks for all the excellent info.

And Thanks for the compliments on the Avitar/sig vehicle

its a 71 240 Z with a 7MGTE and a lot of other goodies in it. Big Turbo, IC, 550's and all that crap. It was at 21~22 psi before I broke it. It will be back together soon.

Right after I finish making a few more cool parts for MK3"s

Easy flush of your system....

Thanks guys, especially Adjuster for the flush process. Due to cold weather and old hoses, my PS line sprung a leak yesterday. I've had it for 4 months and topped it off with ATF after buying it... Yesterday, I found out the rest of the fluid in the system is PS, not ATF :(

Couldn't find for certain which is the return line. Since the one unplugged below is not attach to the reservoir, that'd make it the the return line, correct?
