Why India, [some of] you ask. If you guys didn't hear about the new big nuclear deal we just finalized with India...well...you have now.
President Bush and most of my squadron was there to provide aerial support and protection for him while he flew around Hyderabad in a helicopter (not for a joyride). Love him or hate him, I had a hell of a sense of pride being part of such a thing. I'm open to questioning for any of you still left curious.
Wendigo-The "uniquenesses" of the C-5 need no introduction with me. On our way to India we stopped in Guam for what was supposed to be 3-4 hours. 15-16 hours later we ended up taking off. I've got a handful more of similar occurances as well. It is undoubtedly a great, all-important aircraft to have in our fleet. After all, nothing else that we have can fit two of our planes (CH-53D) inside it and still not be even be halfway to the cargo capacity.
