i am in denial about this possible issue. Help me clarify this issue, please.
My car is a 1987 Turbo 5 speed(R154) converted from auto and with about 119,000 miles on it.
First, was smoking in the exhaust both white and blue only after a few minutes and the car was warmed up. :3d_frown:
Also when i was driving it yesterday, at speed there was no smoke but as soon as i was slowing down to a stop and stop the smoke came out of the rear of the car.
Second, a slight little knocking around the head, sounds like its coming from the turbo but no, as i get closer to listen, it is coming from the motor it self.:3d_frown:
Third, some oily residue in the radiator, as soon as i put my finger in the anti-freeze(once its cold enough) i fell greasy.
Fourth, no white cream in the oil fill cap.:3d_frown:
Fifth, no overheating at all. Its actually normal range, and i do have an autometer water temp gauge.:3d_frown:
Sixth, the gargling in the firewall area like scraping.:3d_frown:
Well. luckily i do have a daily driver, so i can put the Supra out for a bit while its being fixed or POSSIBLY a 2JZ swap.
Please any helpful coments would be appreciated on an idea of what to do.
I can just fix this posible BHG, rebuilt the entire engine with upgraded components and turbo, or just do the 2JZ.
I can do any of those three whether it being doing the work my self or having the money to get any of this options, (i can always save money for the rebiult or 2JZ)but i need a little bit of insight as this is my only place that i have to talk about Supras.
Sorry for the long rant, but i am a bit down about the supra, since it was driving so good since i got it.
