Well guys, I'm gonna describe a race from the losers point of view. I'm in my 944 and my buddy's in his '87 Supra drivin around. I see him and make my way over to him. We get to a good stoplight, we both rev our engines (this is when I noticed how much that 7M hates to rev ;) ) and it turns green. First gear I pulled ahead, second he was gaining, third he was passing, and by the time we hit fourth he was just GONE

We had another race from a roll, I think it was second gear. He got a small jump, but it didn't matter. He pulled hard.

Now, it's not too impressive that a 7M-GTE Supra beat my 2,600lb 150hp car, but when we pulled over to chat, it turns out he's not running any boost :aigo:

Dayum, I was embarassed.

Not running any boost..? That's not really possible without removing the wastegate rod or something like that...

Yeah, one of the intake hoses has a crack or whatever, so he opened the wastegate. He's getting a new one soon lol.

The 7m doesn't like running with cracks in it. It would rather spit and sputter.

I'm not doubting he beat you, but his car has to be running better than he's letting on.

you sure it wasnt a NA with a 7MGTE sticker on teh cam covers:biglaugh:
like suprahero said, it would run like crap - if at all. unless of course you had your foot on the gas the whole time.

Yeah the 944 isn't a straight line pro but they're pretty quick. You can change the timing via the ecu, there's dip switches to toggle and they advance/retard the timing, not that I've noticed a difference myself... you could pick up that performance cam for 500 from 944online.com... i still think you'd be happier making your own turbo mani and going with the maft-pro, I may do that with mine in the future.
