ok, plugs are gapped at .28, still same thing. afr guage still not indicating lean. for my own knowledge, on a aem afr guage, what number should it be reading while at wot? cruising down the freeway mine runs at 14.5ish to 15.3ish. wot i can not remember off top of my head. 11 ish i think.

also, mine has hiccuped a little also, not as bad as my friends. i am wondering, could a malfunctioning mafs cause this? mine does occasionaly throw 3 codes at once, one of them being the mafs. the others i ignor due to them being brand new and testing good. and it is the only sensor under my hood i have not changed from toyota. same goes for my friends.

Sounds like weak spark. This is also something that is related to "spark blowout". Whats your plug wires like? The coils condition? There is also a mod on here on doing a better ground for the igniter ( its makes a huge difference on mine). Might wanna check that out.

ya, all the ground upgrades are good, on both cars. plug wires are the same, msd's. brand new on his, only couple month old on mine. spark blowout has been my suspition all along, re gapped plugs and still doing it. i think these plugs are totall crap imo. cant remember what i got but i had to order them and they werent cheap. gonna put the bosch plus 4 back in it, never had a pubic hair of a problem with those.

Buy NGK copper plugs..NGK 6282. They're $2 a piece and work wonderfully.

If you paid a lot for NGK plugs they're probably iriduim..which can't be gapped..

i forgot to reply what my findings were on this problem. i re-gapped the plugs to .27 and the problem went away. i even made one pass at just under 25psi, and it ran smoothly.
