Broken ATM. Blown turbo ftl. I dont carry much but a starter set or wrenches and a phillis and flat head screwdriver. I trust my car 100%. Of course i have eough tools in my box to take someone elses car apart in about 15 minutes.

Mechanics FTW. ( God i hate cars. -.-)

My car is currently not running, but when I was driving it (with a blown piston ring) I carried no tools with me, just a baggie of spare bulbs and the spare tire. I later realized that I didn't have the jack/hardware for the spare tire, making it kinda useless...

Maybe I should buy one.

edit: The best tool I always carry with is my AAA card.

Car is down now, but when she was my daily, I just carried a small set of tools with me, jumper cables, but nothing I do not have in any of my cars. If I were to go on long trips I would take a lot more tools, but I do not drive too far so I could always call one of my friends to go to my house and get whatever tools I will need for the job. And like topher said..."mechanics ftw" so if anyone breaks down around ct let me know as we could do almost anything you wanted/needed...

I carry a Phillips & a Flathead screw driver. Also a polished up four way tire iron. Thats it for me. Other than that I just rely on luck that nothing serious will happen to the G-Ride.

i carry a 4.7L Bottle of oil in the back, 1 bottle of Toyota Red Coolant, 1 Roll of Heater hose, 1 exacto knife, A phillips and a flathead screwdriver, and some basic wrenches and sockets with a breaker bar. i trust my car enough not to but it is always nice to be able to help out others broken down. It happened a couple of times already with the outcome being new friends and them promising to help out anyone they see on the road, even if its of slight inconvenience.

My car isn't running, but by choice.
When it did run, I never had tools with me.

The one and only time I ever had tools with me, I got a flat. I didn't have a spare.

lol

I don't carry tools because I do not trust the Supra. I carry them because I like to be prepared for most situations. I keep a cheap tool kit in one of those compact tool carriers, a blanket, jumper cables, flares, flashlight, can of fix-a-flat, etc. This has been standard travel equipment for all my cars.

And really the only thing you need to take apart the majority of the engine is a 10mm, 12mm, 14mm, ratchet wrenches. Toyota was nice like that.

None of the above. Entropy gurantees that something will go wrong in a machines lifes. However, I carry nothing. This car is to reliable to need tools on board.
